Jesse Sheahan snared a hat-trick to headline Lethbridge’s crushing semi final over Waurn Ponds Deakin to book a place in the ConnectTel T20 Cup Section 2 final.
The Rosellas dismissed the Eagles for 94, with Sheahan claiming 4/23. Despite the loss of Hayden Spiller for 17 early in the chase, Lethbridge was largely untroubled as they cruised to 2/96 in the 14th over.
Newcomb & District were too good for Bannockburn in the other semi final, dismissing the Bulls for 117 after earlier posting a competitive 7/139.
ConnectTel T20 Cup grand final day will be held at Newtown & Chilwell Cricket Club on Monday 26 January. The Section 2 final between Lethbridge and Newcomb & District starts at 10:30am, with the Section 1 decider between North Geelong and Leopold to begin at 3pm.
